For heavy rain, choose a welded pack. How Does a Backpack Keep a Laptop Dry?
Three details matter most: welded seams instead of stitching, sealed zippers instead of standard coils, and a laptop sleeve raised off the base so it stays clear of pooled water. Is a water-resistant laptop backpack enough?
For walking and public transport in showers, usually yes. For cycling or long walks in heavy rain, choose a welded IPX6 pack.
Can the sleeve fit a 16 or 17 inch laptop?
Our 22L welded pack fits up to 16 inches. Sleeves from 13 to 17 inches can be built to order.
Can you add a USB charging port?
Yes, on sewn water-resistant packs. On welded waterproof packs we recommend a sealed power bank pocket instead.
