Water gets into cheap bags at the closure. Here the roll-top closure does the main sealing, and a reinforced waterproof film at the sealing area forms a second barrier behind it — so even if the roll loosens slightly, there is still a layer holding water out. We build and test this to IPX7, the way a submersible dry bag should be checked, under external pressure around 1.0 Bar. That is what lets us call it a waterproof swimming bag rather than just a splash-proof one.

A thickened, detachable strap makes this a comfortable waterproof dry bag with shoulder strap for longer carries, and clips off completely when you would rather stow the bag flat or hand-carry it. The strap anchors to reinforced webbing and POM buckles rated for real load.

Each bag starts as cut 500D PVC tarpaulin. We used HF-weld the clear PVC window into the front panel, weld the body seams and the reinforced film at the closure, then fit the removable strap and POM buckles. Before a batch ships, units are sampled for an IPX7 pressure test, the welded window edge is checked for a complete seal, and the strap anchors are pull-tested. The window and the closure film are the two areas we inspect hardest, because they are where a window dry bag fails first if it is built carelessly.
