The main closure is a YKK waterproof zipper with a laminated tape and a moulded pull, curved along the front-side face so the compartment opens toward the wearer when the bag is swung round to the chest. The tape is welded to the shell rather than stitched through it, so the closure line carries no needle holes, and the zipper terminations sit inside welded end pockets that take tension off the last teeth.
The second zipper is built into the shoulder strap. Its pocket takes a phone, a fishing licence, cards, keys or a spool of leader, and sits at chest height with the bag still on the back — the items a user reaches for most often do not require unslinging the bag. It uses the same YKK waterproof zipper as the main opening rather than a lighter component, because a strap pocket is the most rain-exposed part of a sling.
A mesh divider is fitted along the interior back wall, creating a flat slot in front of the padded back panel. Flat items — a wallet, a tool wrap, a folded rain shell, a tablet in a small case — sit in the slot instead of sinking into the main volume, and the mesh keeps them visible when the bag is opened. On a tapered 8 L body, where the base is narrower than the opening, anything loose ends up wedged at the bottom; the divider is what keeps the bag workable.
The rest of the volume is left open. Custom internal configurations — fixed dividers, a padded camera or tackle insert, a key tether, additional mesh pockets — are straightforward on this platform for programs that need them.
Two horizontal lash straps cross the front panel, each running through a welded D-ring and closed with a UTX side-release buckle. They compress a light load against the body and hold a rain shell, a net, a folded tripod or a tool roll on the outside of the bag, where wet and dirty gear belongs. A stretch mesh pocket on one side panel takes a bottle or a spare spool.
Moulded tool-dock patches are welded to both side panels — the anchor points for a forceps or plier sheath, a retractor, a light or a carabiner. Every one of these fittings is welded to the shell. Adding a bar-tacked webbing anchor to a welded waterproof body would introduce a needle perforation for the sake of a feature, which is exactly the compromise this construction exists to avoid.
The single shoulder strap is padded, faced in mesh on the contact side and contoured to run diagonally across the torso. It adjusts on webbing through a UTX ladder lock and releases through a UTX side-release buckle at the lower anchor, so the bag can be dropped off the shoulder without pulling it over the head. A stabiliser strap crosses under the opposite arm and clips with a second UTX buckle, holding the bag against the back when the wearer is casting, paddling or riding rather than letting it swing forward.
The back panel is padded and mesh-faced. On a welded shell that cannot breathe, a mesh face at the contact area is the only practical heat management, and on a single-shoulder bag it matters more than on a backpack because the whole load bears on one side. A webbing grab handle at the top takes the bag on and off a boat seat, a rack or a hook.

Sealock has run OEM and ODM programs for outdoor, fishing and watersports brands for over 20 years, and the most demanding requirements on this platform can be met. Development does not have to begin from an existing model: our engineering team regularly builds products from scratch off a customer's sketch, a physical sample, or nothing more than a target specification sheet, taking the project through structural design, pattern development, welding-parameter validation, carry-system fit testing and pilot production. Both our high-frequency welding capability and our in-house sewn production line are professional operations in their own right, so hybrid constructions — a welded waterproof body with a sewn strap or organiser — are fully supported. Ground-up custom development carries a longer lead time than a modification of an existing platform, and we will state that timeline at the quotation stage rather than after tooling has started.

The immersion exclusion is structural: both closures are waterproof zippers rather than airtight zippers, which keeps them easy to operate one-handed with the bag still slung but means the body is not a sealed vessel. The load ceiling is a carry-system limit — the whole weight bears on one shoulder, and above roughly 5 kg a two-strap pack is the right product. The tapered 8 L body will not take a laptop; programs needing that should look at a backpack platform.

Quality control runs across three gates. IQC screens incoming TPU-coated fabric, YKK zipper tape, UTX hardware, foam, mesh and webbing against approved samples, with lot-level checks on coating thickness and colour difference — mint green in particular shows dye-lot drift readily, and catching it here is cheaper than catching it at final inspection. IPQC monitors welding temperature, pressure and dwell time at every station in real time and pulls destructive seam samples at set intervals; a drifting weld parameter is the most common cause of a bag that passes visual inspection and leaks in the field. OQC performs the full functional and weather check on every carton lot.
The correct incoming-inspection procedure at the buyer's end is a heavy rain or water-jet exposure under IPX6 conditions with absorbent paper placed inside the main compartment and the strap pocket, plus dimensional, zipper-operation, buckle-function, weld-seam visual and colour-difference checks. Do not run an immersion test — SL-E1314 is not specified to pass one, and immersing it will produce a failure against a criterion the product was never sold on. We will document our full OQC procedure on request. Third-party inspection by SGS, QIMA or a buyer-nominated agency can be arranged at any stage of production.

The logo as supplied is a high-build silicone screen print — silicone ink cures at a temperature the TPU coating tolerates, sits slightly proud of the surface with a tactile finish, and holds its edge through abrasion and repeated wetting where standard surface print does not. It is the default recommendation on this shell and is verified at OQC by cross-hatch and rub testing after wet and dry cycling. Silicone heat transfer gives a similar raised finish with finer detail resolution at a higher unit cost. A welded TPU patch produces a tonal, dimensional mark applied in the same process as the rest of the bag, with a visible patch outline. The shell can also be embossed during welding, and reflective print is available for cycling and night-use programs. Logo customisation is available from the 300-piece MOQ, and zipper pulls, webbing, UTX buckles and mesh trim can all be colour-matched.
SL-E1314 is available as a stock platform for wholesale and as a development base for OEM and ODM programs. Minimum order quantity is 300 pieces per colour for the standard configuration, with FOB terms from Guangdong. Sample lead time is 7–15 days for a stock unit with applied branding, and longer where new patterns, custom hardware tooling or a different shell material are required. Sealock has built waterproof and welded gear for over 20 years, operates facilities in Dongguan, China and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and produces for fishing and outdoor brands including SIMMS, ORVIS, PENN, AFTCO and OSPREY. The same specification can be produced from either origin, which matters to buyers managing tariff exposure.
Buyers building a sling and fishing-pack line usually compare this model with the SL-E548 8 L airtight-zipper fishing sling bag and the SL-E868A 12 L compact airtight-zipper sling, both of which use an airtight zipper where a program needs immersion protection rather than IPX6. For small items that must stay dry in any condition, see the SL-A064 IPX8 phone pouch with camera window and the multi-purpose waterproof pouch. Programs adding a full backpack should look at the SL-E641 25 L minimalist airtight-zipper backpack.
SL-E1314 is rated IPX6 — it resists heavy rain, spray and directed water jets from any angle. It cannot be submerged. The shell and all welded seams are watertight, but both closures are YKK waterproof zippers rather than airtight zippers, which keeps them easy to operate one-handed with the bag still slung and also means the body is not a sealed vessel. For wading, capsize or drop-in-water scenarios, our airtight-zipper sling models are the correct choice.
Yes — that is what it is for. The pocket sits at chest height on the shoulder strap and opens on its own YKK waterproof zipper, so a phone, licence, cards or a spool of leader come out without unslinging. It uses the same waterproof zipper as the main compartment rather than a lighter component, because a strap pocket is the most rain-exposed part of a sling.
It creates a flat slot against the back wall for a wallet, a tool wrap, a folded rain shell or a small tablet case. On a tapered 8 L body the base is narrower than the opening, so anything loose works its way down and wedges at the bottom; the divider holds flat items upright and visible when the bag is opened.
Forceps or plier sheaths, a retractor, a light, a carabiner or a small accessory pouch — mounted on either side depending on which shoulder the user carries on. The patches are welded TPU bonded directly to the shell and tested to internal pull-off limits, welded specifically so that adding external mounting does not put a needle hole in a waterproof body.
The stabiliser strap is there to stop it. It crosses under the opposite arm and clips with a UTX buckle, holding the body against the back. Released, the bag swings freely around to the chest for access — which is the point of a sling — and the curved main zipper opens toward the wearer in that position.
Yes to both, from the 300-piece MOQ per colour. Mint green and khaki are stock; Pantone-matched shells, contrast base panels and matte or gloss finishes are available on top. Logo options are high-build silicone screen print, silicone heat transfer, welded TPU patch, shell embossing and reflective print, with zipper pulls, webbing, UTX buckles and mesh trim colour-matched.
Up to about 5 kg for extended wear. All the weight bears on one shoulder, so beyond that a two-strap backpack is the right product regardless of how well the strap is padded. The 8 L volume and the tapered pattern are sized for a day's fishing kit, a camera and a lens, or a commuter's essentials rather than a full daypack load.
The stock configuration is one orientation. A mirrored pattern is a straightforward modification for OEM programs, and some buyers run both orientations as a paired SKU. A removable strap, a waist-pack conversion and a dual-strap version are also available on this platform.
Run a heavy rain or water-jet exposure under IPX6 conditions with absorbent paper inside the main compartment and the strap pocket, plus dimensional, zipper-operation, buckle-function, weld-seam visual and colour-difference checks. Do not immerse it — the bag is not specified to pass an immersion test, and doing so produces a failure against a criterion it was never sold on. We will document our full OQC procedure on request.
MOQ is 300 pieces per colour for the standard configuration, FOB Guangdong. Samples ship in 7–15 days for stock units with applied branding; new patterns, custom hardware tooling or a different shell material extend that. Bulk production lead time depends on order size and season and is confirmed at order placement. The same specification can be produced from either our China or our Vietnam facility. Third-party inspection by SGS, QIMA or a buyer-nominated agency can be scheduled at any production stage.
